Industrial plasma cutting machine

An industrial plasma cutting machine request should start from the plate that actually leaves the shop, not from the thickest coupon a brochure can sever. This page maps changeover between production nests and occasional thick-plate jobs so upstream nesting and downstream grinding stay visible in the RFQ.

Changeover context

Operating context
Fabrication bays that nest structural plate, hopper parts or machine guards on a CNC table. Duty cycle is shift length plus how often thickness or hole families change. Throughput is nested good parts at a stated edge quality, not torch travel speed on an empty slat.
Changeover context: Design input

List the production thickness that defines everyday cut quality and the upper thickness that only needs occasional severance. Name hole sizes, internal corners and long straight edges that must appear on the acceptance nest. If the same table will later run a different gas process, write the torch-swap labour and extra consumables. Upstream nesting files and downstream grinding allowances belong in the same brief so bidders do not assume a finished edge you still intend to mill.

Supplier answer

Ask each factory to confirm which material and thickness define the cut-quality acceptance sample, and who supplies height control, extraction and the torch-motion interface for that duty. A source demonstrated in handheld use does not alone establish gantry positioning tolerance or nest cycle time. The answer should attach the applicable cut chart and the connected load for the proposed installation, including three-phase supply and compressed air demand.

Open deviation

Typical gaps: one quote uses recommended cutting on 12 mm mild steel while another shows only a severance number on thicker plate; one includes a water table while another expects a dry table plus a separate dust collector; one nesting licence is perpetual while another is a seat that expires. Record those deviations before you treat two industrial plasma cutting machine totals as the same cell.

Representative production samples should include the common thickness and the difficult upper end on the same nest. If parts later go to a press brake or weld cell, state edge-prep limits so plasma dross is not treated as a surprise. We coordinate questions; we do not certify the shop atmosphere or the finished assembly.
